Sharon graduated with a Bachelor of Music with First Class Honours in voice performance from the University of Auckland in 2004. She has several years experience in teaching voice, keyboard, barbershop and choirs both privately and in schools.
Sharon is an accomplished operatic performer, having performed a variety of operatic roles with Opera Factory in Auckland; and has been performing with the Chapman Tripp Opera Chorus since 2004. In her performing career she has worked with musicians and singers such as David Harper, Dame Kiri Te Kanawa, Rosemary Barnes, Robert Wiremu, Frances Wilson and Carmel Carroll.
Sharon’s journey has moved from performing to facilitating - she is now training to be a music therapist, and in 2009 will be finishing her Masters of Music Therapy. She is looking forward to setting up her own practice as a full time Music Therapist both privately and in the community.
Sharon loves cheese, chocolate, British comedy, gardening and all the fine things in life; but is most passionate about sharing meaningful musical experiences with people.
