William Green
Composer
William Green studied piano with Jean MacLachlan in Ashburton and Maurice Till at the University of Canterbury. He now pursues a career in Auckland as a pianist, teacher, arranger and radio presenter, working with dancers, singers and actors, including opera, musical theatre and silent film.
William has given lecture/recitals in Australia and Fiji, and performs an annual recital of New Zealand piano music in Auckland which has so far included over 30 New Zealand composers. His own compositions include choral, piano, chamber and orchestral music as well as comic songs. He is published by SOUNZ (NZ) and Orpheus Music (Australia).
